YOU DID IT! Ronstadt Generations Y Los Tucsonenses: Prelude

If you haven't heard, we have recently completed a new album, Ronstadt Generations Y Los Tucsonenses: Prelude. This is a special thing for us because you are responsible for making it happen. We put together a kickstarter campaign and in 30 days we hit over our goal of $7,500 and would like to say that you are all beautiful people for making this a reality.

This new album introduces a new part to our band, Y Los Tucsonenses, a versatile group of musicians including Alex Flores on Tenor Saxophone, Sam Eagon on the Upright and Electric Bass, and Aaron Emery on the Drums. I can't wait for you to hear them.

The album is at the CD plant and being pressed. It'll be officially released on July 10, 2012 (that's also when it should hit digital distributors like iTunes, Amazon, and CD Baby). Soon it'll go out to the Vinyl plant and we will have this new album on a record too (I'm pretty excited about that).

To accompany the new album we just launched a BRAND NEW shiny website (which you have probably seen if you are reading this post) and we hope that you visit it often and tell your friends. A new web store is also being constructed and should be up and running soon. Complete with our releases as well as some clothing and maybe some other odds and ends (if you have ideas let us know).

On another note, we collaborated with David Damian Figueroa, Mary Lou Fulton, and Francisco Gonzalez to make a Patriotic EP entitled, America, Our Home, done in some traditional Mexican styles. It should be available digitally on CD Baby (and hopefully iTunes and Amazon) on July 3rd. Just in time for the holiday. So stay tuned and visit the new website for this EP, americaourhome.us, which should be up very soon.

Throughout this whole adventure we've been pleased to have our fans be a big part of it and we would like to encourage you to continue being involved. If you have ideas, suggestions, comments, or anything of the sort we would love to hear from you. You can always email us at ronstadtgenerations@gmail.com. If you have pictures of yourselves with our shirts on or holding our records, we would love to use them on our new web store. Please continue to be involved. We are our own record label and you all are our investors. We wouldn't like it any other way.

Thank you again for everything you do.

Anyone Home?

So this blog hasn't been updated in a while. I guess I haven't been the best at keeping up on it. On the plus side my dad and brother now have access so they can post updates as well. Which means more frequency (we hope).
